Detox and Weight Loss

In any weight loss effort, detoxification always comes part of the process. But why do we need to detoxify first before we intend losing weight? We’re living in an environment where toxins are almost everywhere even in the food we eat. We are exposed to environmental pollutants and absorb food with chemicals for example herbicides and pesticides in vegetables and pharmaceuticals that animals ingest in the process.

Detoxification Explained

But what is detoxification? Detoxification is a process of cleansing your body most specifically the intestinal tract and makes your body become more responsive to nutrients. Regular detoxification is needed by our body to be healthy.

Like I said toxins are everywhere from the food we eat, from the air we breathe that’s why we need to compensate that with good nutrition. If your diet is composed of meat, processed foods and dairy products, expect that your body is filled with toxins that can harm your body.

Toxins are stored in fat and even in the liver, which is in charge of getting rid of these toxins, it can easily be overloaded and you may end up having a very toxic liver. Poor liver function contributes to weight gain and losing weight without a professional supervision can end up in worse shape than before. The reason behind these is we intake a lot of pollutants and toxins in our body and these toxins are stored as fat. As we lose fat in weight loss, these toxins are released and our liver will have a hard time detoxifying these large number of toxins putting our body at risk for other health problems.

Effective detox are being offered by a professional nutritionist and guided with expertise throughout the program. Aside from these effective Programs, you should also consider the food intake. Detoxing is not about starving yourself and suffering from malnourishment.
